Note and Disclaimer It has come to our attention that the results below contain a few errors. It seems that some of the 26 year old equipment left over from the Lake Placid Olympics is wearing out. In particular, the electronic keypad used by style judge Art Tokle (J 1) during this competition suffered occasional malfunctions, reporting scores 11.0 or 11.5 when higher scores were intended. Some of these were caught and corrected, but apparently at least two of these errors slipped through, which we have marked below with a question mark. There may be other less glaring errors, but it appears that none of these unfortunate errors has changed the order of finish. DW

New Years Nordic Combined Competition
Involving Saturday Evening's jumping, and a 10 km. cross
country race Sunday afternoon at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.
Twelve skiers showed up to race, with places up for grabs on the team headed for the World Junior Championships. Tara Garraghty-Moats was the sole female competitor and the scorekeepers did not report her times.

Nordic Combined Results

False Alarm! After a flurry of e-mails, it was ruled that Sunday's Gundersen start handicaps were computed using the appropriate formula, and so are correct (except for a clerical error on Spencer Knickerbocker who should have started at 10:04). Still, as usual, anyone finding an error, please let me know. (DCW)
