The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Chairman Art Tokle who welcomed the members and guests and thanked them for making the rainy trip to White River Junction.

Schedule: Dan Warner reported that Gunstock will not be holding any jumping events this year.
The weekend of January 14th, 15th is open on the Eastern Schedule.
Vermont Academy will add a small hill event to the small hill schedule on Sunday, January 29.
Dan Warner will post a finalized version of the winter schedule in due course.

Junior Olympics: Tom Dodds has stepped in as the chairperson of the organizing committee for the event which is to be held on the Lebanon K50 Jump and the Oak Hill Cross-Country venue.

John Farnham is making good progress in his efforts to raise $7,000 for lumber for needed renovations and upgrades. There seems to be a good sense of progress at this point.

All of us in the East and particularly in New Hampshire will be rallying around the Lebanon effort.

Nationals: Larry Stone reported that the nationals will be held in Steamboat Springs, CO on January 19,20,21, 2006

Fundraising: A very successful golf tournament took place at the Carter Country Golf Club in Lebanon to help defray the expenses of athletes to the Junior Olympics and North American Junior Championships. Despite the deluge (about 4" of rain), morale was high and spirits were raised afterward by Marianne Fairall's hot food and elegant prize table. The goals of tournament, to completely fund the two events above, was met.

Marianne reported that the silent auction raised $1,300 during Saturday of Flaming Leaves, despite yet more inclement weather. She suggested that the sport could be promoted a bit more at this event with printed programs, free passes, and so forth.

Club Reports:

Andover has already recruited six new jumpers, plans to put in a new judges stand (at last), a new drain on the K38 landing hill, an electrical outlet for track setting on the K38 trestle, and to crown the outrun for better drainage.

Brattleboro Grade boards will be installed on the inrun of the big hill.
Dan Warner suggested that markers might be safer on the stairs side of the landing hill.
Brattleboro is hoping to bring over 4 or so Europeans for their event as they do so well every year.

Ford Sayre would like to dig out its landing hill to make it a little bigger, but water problems may preclude doing so this fall.

Newport is planning some trestle improvements. A new warming hut (Jump Inn) has been built, a wonderful addition.

Lebanon: Jon Farnham is still president of the club. They are looking forward to completing a full 52 weeks of continuous jumping at the end of December.

NYSEF: Larry Stone reports that there is no tangible progress on the K64 project, but a recent signup yielded several new youngsters.
The top Eastern juniors, Larry adds, are really coming on.
Dan Warner adds that a new paved roller skiing loop has allowed the XC and NC kids to come train this summer, and they seem to love it. The K120 and K90 are both certified through 2010.
Deflector boards come within 9 meters of the takeoff. These are the first two jumps in the world to be compliant with new FIS standards. Perhaps now that these important improvements have been realized, the K64 may be moving a bit closer.

Salisbury: Ken Barker reports that a 1K X-C trail has been cut around the jumping area that will have the benefit of snowmaking, a wonderful addition.

The spring meeting will be held at Storrs Hill on Saturday, April 22, 2006.
