One highlight of the 1993 International Masters Championships in Kuopio, Finland was the appearance, for first time, of a busload of stalwart Master skiers from Estonia, across the water to the south. Now, in 1999, this enthusiastic group hosted tenth annual IMC at Otepaa, Estonia.

The Old Boys of the ski jumping world competed on three very nice hills (K-25, 40 and 70 meters) as well as Nordic Combined (jumping and cross country). Entry lists were large, so to keep the individual competitions from stretching into marathons, organizers separated each of the three special jump competitions into two parts, with the older skiers jumping in one session and the younger skiers competing in a separate session.

The first day of competition (Thursday, March 4) saw 83 athletes from six countries compete in eight age groups on the 40 meter hill. Friday was busy for the organizers, with two sessions of competition on the 25 meter hill and two sessions on the K-70. Cross country racing was saved for Saturday. An innovation for 1999 was a team jump, also held on Saturday, which involved teams from four nations plus one mixed (international) team. Each team consisted of six or more skiers chosen from different age groups.

Complete results are available for all five competitions:
