1998 Junior Olympics
Eastern Division Team Roster

Team selections were announced late Saturday afternoon,
Feb. 14 in Lake Placid, following the final qualifing
meets, the two NYSEF jumps. The 1998 Junior Olympic (JO)
competitions (sometimes called Junior Nationals) were
scheduled for the last week of February in
Coleraine, Minnesota, but unusually warm weather in
Minnesota has forced relocation of the event to Ishpeming,
Michigan. Competition will be in Junior I (Age 16-17),
Junior II (age 14-15), and Ladies Class.
Here is the roster of those skiers who
will represent the Eastern Division at the JO's.

Marie-Pierre will travel with the Eastern team,
but will represent Canada as a guest in the competitions.

Kyle lives in Wisconsin, but is spending
the season in Lake Placid, is registered as an
Eastern skier and will be a member
of the Eastern team.
Junior-I jumpers Jesse Amidon and Brian Squires, both of the
Brattleboro Outing Club, qualified for the event but
chose not to make the trip.
