Meet the Athletes: Ski Jumpers in the Eastern USA
Pictures of many young Eastern Ski Jumpers

Young jumpers grow and mature. Athletes move on and new youngsters burst on the scene. The last edition
of Meet the Eastern Athletes page was more than two years old so in Nov. 2009 we made some changes, removed a few inactive
people to make room for new faces, and posted more up-to-date photos.
Three previous versions of our photo gallery are still available in Grampa's Attic and we
comment below on some of the faces that have disappeared.
Peter Frenette (left), still a teenager, has enjoyed spectacular success, skiing in the Vancouver Olympics, winning the National Championship, and competing in World Cup Jumping.

These two skiers continue the quiet flow of jumpers who started in the New Hampshire High school program and migrated over to the Eastern circuit.
Chris Rydel (left) began his jumping as a freshman at Concord High School and Sam Shapiro began in his first year at Hanover High School.
The four New Hampshire high school jumpers below preceded Chris and Sam by a couple of years. We hope that this trend will continue.
