TEAM HANDBOOK

November 28, 2005

Dear Jumping and Nordic Combined Competitor, Coaches and Team Leaders:

We are excited to extend this invitation to you and your families for the 2006 Chevrolet Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined Junior Olympics presented by Barilla. We are thrilled to welcome the Junior Olympics to New Hampshire and Vermont’s Upper Valley. Many athletes began their pursuit of the Olympic dream on Dartmouth’s famed Vale de Tempe jump (now decommissioned) and Lebanon’s K50 meter Storrs Hill. The cross-country will be held on Dartmouth’s Oak Hill trails-host to the 2004 NCAA Championships.

This TEAM HANDBOOK includes the Schedule of Events; contact information; housing, transportation and meal particulars; your division’s Entry Form and other helpful planning information. A second Handbook will be sent to you in February detailing more specific items such as the Competition Headquarters location, directions, site maps, message boards, awards ceremonies, etc.. It will also include the Release of Liability waivers and athlete’s profile which will be turned in when you arrive. The deadline for the Preliminary Entry Form has been moved from Mon Jan 23, 2006 to Saturday, January 28, and hotel reservations should be made by that same day, January 28, to be assured of a discounted rate. Final entry forms are due February 14, 2006.

We look forward to hosting you at the 2006 Juniors Olympics!

Sincerely,

Thomas Dodds
Chairman, JO Organizing Committee
