Eastern Ski Jumping is dedicated to encouraging, developing, and promoting Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined in the Northeast. The organization’s mission is to assist Eastern Ski Jumping Clubs and athletes with development, training, and support to grow the sport and its athletes. Ski jumpers currently carry on the traditions of their sport in a dozen or more locations across New York and New England. Over the last thirty years, every U.S. Winter Olympic Team has included Ski Jumpers or Nordic Combiners from the Eastern part of the country, and the first Olympic Gold Medal ever earned by an American in Nordic Combined was earned by Billy Demong, from Vermontville, NY at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, BC.
